Submission Guidelines
At the How To Network, we try to keep things as simple as possible and have only a few submissions guidelines for articles, tips, and How To guides you submit. These guidelines must be followed, or your submission may not be approved!
- ALL Articles, Tips or Guide Titles MUST include the words “How To”.
Since the visitors to this site are looking for information on how to do things, it is only appropriate that all contents include How To. - Content Length
While you are not expected to write a novel, we do enforce a minimum length of 150 characters on all published content. As you are drafting your articles, you will notice a counter in the lower right corner of your editor screen. - The content you submit must be yours!
You may not submit content written by other authors and you must be the copyright holder for each article, tip or guide you submit. Articles written by a ghost writer are perfectly acceptable as long as you have the rights to use them. - How To Network Rights to Republish
By submitting your articles to the How To Network, you grant us the right to publish your articles. We may publish your article anywhere on our website and syndicate through RSS feeds, which allows others to display your contributions on their websites, keeping your credits in place. We may also change the category where it appears at any time, to better fit into the overall site structure. - Rights to Republish by Others
Other users may want to publish your articles on their websites in their newsletters or ezines. By submitting to the How To Network, you grant the right, as long as the article is left in the original state, including your original contributor links. - No affiliate links – No Exceptions!
The content you submit should not contain affiliate links. The only acceptable link (1) in your content, should link back to your own resource website, if it exists. - Submitting your articles does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind
You will not receive compensation from the How To Network or the users of our directory for content you submit. - Submitting an article in no ways guarantees inclusion in our directory
We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason. - Articles should be proof read for grammatical errors prior to submitting
Do not submit content filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. We review every submission and we will reject content that doesn’t meet this requirement.
